Botanical Tales: A Creative Writing Workshop As spring comes in and plants been to flourish and grow we will gather together and look into the lore that surrounds different plants and their uses. This workshop will explore existing lore and how the weird and botanical has been used in fiction over the years. We will experiment and play with language and symbolism to create new work and exercise creativity. What to Expect: Delve into Folklore: Discover the stories, symbols, and traditions of plants, from healing and poison to the creeping symbolism of a climbing rose. Creative Writing Prompts: Explore storytelling through themes of transformation, metaphor and natural history through guided exercises designed to exercise your weird imagination. Whether you’re new to writing or a practicing writer, this workshop will help you channel the weird and beauty of the natural world and the depth of folklore into your creative work.
