A Creative Writing Workshop for Young Storytellers 📖 Date: Tuesday, April 16th 📍 Location: The Folklore Centre, Todmorden ⏰ Time: Ages 7 -10yrs 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Ages 11-14yrs 13:00 - 14:00 PM Step into the rich and mysterious world of folklore, where ancient myths, legendary creatures, and timeless tales inspire new stories to be told. In this immersive creative writing workshop, we will explore the art of storytelling, drawing from the magic of traditional folklore to craft their own original narratives. Through guided exercises and storytelling techniques, children will develop their characters, settings, and plot-lines, learning how to bring their ideas to life with vivid detail and imagination. We will draw inspiration from local legends and well known folk characters, and take traditional tales to new exciting places. Designed to engage and challenge young minds, this workshop encourages deeper thinking about the power of stories and the way they shape our understanding of the world. I have an up to date DBS check so you can drop and go! Perhaps to chill downstairs in the cafe with a coffee and some cake. Of course, you are also welcome to stay and play. Spaces are limited, booking essential. Please ensure you book the right time for your age group.
