A Creative Writing Workshop on women in the wild Date: Saturday 28th June Time: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Location: The Folklore Centre, Todmorden Step into the wilderness of words in this creative writing workshop that celebrates the wild woman. Through the lens of nature and travel, we’ll explore stories of exploration, belonging, and transformation from a female perspective. Drawing inspiration from folklore, memoir, and contemporary nature writing, we’ll examine how women have historically engaged with the landscape — as wanderers, seekers, and storytellers — and reflect on our own encounters with place and journey. Through a mix of guided writing exercises, readings, and discussion, you’ll be encouraged to channel your inner wildness and develop vivid, personal writing that treads new ground. Open to all levels of experience, this workshop offers a supportive space for anyone identifying with the feminine perspective who wants to connect deeper with their voice, the land, and the stories waiting to be told. No prior writing experience needed—just an open mind and a curiosity for the wild. Limited places available - early booking advised.
